About Stablecoin payment option
Flywire now accepts stablecoin payments (USDC and USDT) through our trusted processing partner. Stablecoins are digital currencies linked to the U.S. dollar, offering the stability of traditional payments with the convenience of crypto. You can use stablecoin payments for selected countries when making international tuition or other global payments supported by Flywire.

Start your payment on the Flywire checkout page.
- Enter your amount and select your country.
- If available, choose Crypto or Stablecoins.

- A secure window will appear listing supported exchanges (e.g., Binance, Coinbase, Kraken).
-
Send your payment:
- Select & Pay: Choose your exchange from the list and securely log in to authorize the transfer.

Refunds and returns
- If a stablecoin payment is cancelled, expired, underpaid, or overpaid, funds are automatically returned to the Exchange account you used within 24–48 hours.
- Refunds for completed payments are processed securely once approved by your institution.
- Flywire covers all network fees, so you will receive the full refund amount back to your account.
- Refunds can only go back to the original Exchange account used. Please ensure your account remains active.
Getting support for stablecoin payments
If your payment doesn’t appear in your Flywire account or if you need to confirm a refund, contact Flywire Support and include:

FAQ
What are stablecoins?
Stablecoins are digital currencies — USDC and USDT — that stay equal in value to the U.S. dollar (1 USDC = 1 USD). They allow you to make secure and stable crypto payments through Flywire.
Is this payment method safe?
Yes. We use a regulated and trusted payment partner that securely processes stablecoin transfers for Flywire. All stablecoin payments follow the same security and compliance standards as other Flywire payment methods.
Can I use my personal wallet (e.g., MetaMask, Ledger)?
No. For compliance and security reasons, payments must be made directly from a supported Exchange account (like Binance or Coinbase) using the "Connect wallet & Pay" integration on the payment page.
How long do refunds and returns take?
Incorrect or expired payments are automatically returned within 24–48 hours. Refunds for completed payments are processed once Flywire receives funds from your institution, usually within 1–2 business days.
Do stablecoin payments or refunds have any extra fees?
Flywire covers the network fees for refunds, ensuring you get the full amount back. However, when sending the payment, your Exchange (e.g., Coinbase/Binance) may charge a small withdrawal or network fee, which is standard for crypto transactions.
What is a Transaction Hash (Tx Hash)?
A Transaction Hash (Tx Hash) is your blockchain transaction ID. You can find it in your Exchange App under Transaction History → Details → Tx Hash / TxID. If Support asks for it, please share it to help Flywire locate your transaction faster.
Does the payment link expire?
Yes. Each payment link is active only for a limited time — please follow the on-screen instructions to check the valid payment period shown on your page. Once it expires, the address provided is closed and can no longer receive funds. If you send money after the link has expired, the funds are automatically refunded to your original wallet within 24–48 hours. To complete your payment, please create a new Flywire payment request.
