A Flywire Payment ID is a unique reference code created when you make a payment request through Flywire.
Your Payment ID helps Flywire identify your payment and match your funds to the correct institution or organization.
A Payment ID may appear as:
- 3 letters followed by 9 digits, such as ABC111222333
- 15 alphanumeric characters, such as 1AB11AB111ABA1B
Why your Payment ID matters
Each payment request has its own Payment ID.
Flywire uses your Payment ID to:
- Identify your payment
- Match your funds to your payment request
- Track your payment status
- Help support teams locate your payment if you need assistance
Note: If you are paying by bank transfer, include your Payment ID in your bank transfer reference whenever possible.
Where to find your Payment ID
You can find your Payment ID in several places:
- Flywire confirmation email: Check the email you received after creating your payment request.
- Tracking page: Open your Flywire tracking link to view your payment details.
- Flywire account: Log in to your Flywire account and go to My payments to view your payment history.
