In many cases, yes. A family member, friend, or third party may be able to make a payment on your behalf through Flywire.
However, some payment methods have payer relationship requirements. Depending on the country, region, and payment method, the payer may need to be the student, patient, applicant, account holder, or an eligible family member.
What to check before paying
Before completing the payment, review the instructions and Important info section for your selected payment method.
Some payment methods may have requirements based on:
- The payer’s relationship to the person the payment is for
- The name on the bank account, card, or digital wallet
- The country or region the payment is coming from
- Local regulations or document requirements
How to enter payer information
Enter the information of the person who is actually making the payment.
For example:
- If the student is paying, enter the student’s information.
- If a parent is paying, enter the parent’s information.
- If another third party is paying, enter that person’s information, as long as the selected payment method allows it.
If additional information is requested
Flywire may request additional information or documents for some payments.
If more information is needed, Flywire will contact the payer using the contact details provided in the payment request.
