At Flywire, we value transparency. We want to ensure you have all the information you need to make informed decisions about your payment.
If you are making a cross-border payment within the European Economic Area (EEA) that involves a currency conversion, our system will automatically display two things:
- Our exchange rate: The rate offered by our local banking partners to convert your funds.
- The exchange rate mark-up: The total currency conversion charge for your transaction. This is simply expressed as a percentage over the latest reference rates issued by the European Central Bank.
Where can I see this information? You don't need to go searching for it! This information will be clearly displayed:
- When you are selecting your preferred payment method on our website.
- On your Flywire payment tracking page after you've created your request.
Note: This display is in accordance with the Cross-Border Payments Regulation (CBPR2) to ensure you always know exactly what you are paying.
