Flywire’s Best Price Guarantee (BPG) helps ensure you receive a competitive exchange rate. If you find a better rate from your bank, you can submit a BPG application for review. Please review the requirements below and follow the steps carefully to complete your application.
Important Prerequisites for BPG (China)
- Eligible payment method: Your Flywire payment request must be created using RMB transfer in Chinese Yuan (CNY) (人民币银行转账), and the request must remain unpaid.
- Online submission only: All BPG applications must be submitted through the official online request form. Applications submitted via email will not be processed.
- Review timeline: Applications are typically reviewed within 1–2 business days. Please wait for the review result before sending funds.
- Application frequency: Only one approved BPG application is allowed within a 72-hour period for the same payer.
- Combination rules: Approved BPG rates cannot be combined with other offers (such as promo codes or China Reward programs).
Steps to Apply for BPG from China
Step 1: Create your Flywire payment request
Select RMB transfer in Chinese Yuan (CNY) (人民币银行转账) as your payment method and follow the on-screen prompts to submit your request.
Step 2: Obtain your bank quote (within 2 hours)
You must collect proof of a better exchange rate from your bank within 2 hours of creating your Flywire payment request. (Note: You do not need to complete the actual currency exchange). Provide your bank quote using one of the following methods:
- Desktop (Screenshot): Log in to your online banking portal and navigate to the currency exchange page. Take a full-screen screenshot that clearly shows the bank name, the current date and time, and the exchange rate.
- Mobile (Screen recording): Start a screen recording. Briefly show the current date (via your calendar or home screen). Open your mobile banking app, navigate to the exchange page, and enter the exact foreign currency amount matching your Flywire request. Ensure the screen displays the corresponding CNY amount.
Step 3: Submit your BPG application

BPG Application Results & What to Expect
Your application will be reviewed within 1–2 business days, and the result will be sent to you by email.
- If your BPG application is approved: You will receive a confirmation email, and your Flywire payment request will be automatically updated. You can then proceed with your payment using the updated amount.
- If your BPG application is not approved: You will receive an email explaining the specific reason and potential guidance for a new application.
Note on bank fees: If your bank quote does not include standard international transfer fees (such as handling fees, cable fees, or intermediary bank fees), Flywire will apply a standard adjustment to ensure your institution receives the full amount.
