This guide explains why a preferred payment method may not be visible during the Flywire payment process and outlines the alternative steps you can take to complete your transaction.
Flywire automatically shows the payment methods available for your selected institution or organization, payment country or region, currency, and payment amount.
If your preferred payment method is not shown, it is not currently available for that payment.
You can choose another available payment method shown during the payment process.
Why a payment method may not be available
A payment method may not appear because of:
- The country or region you are paying from
- The institution or organization you are paying
- The selected currency
- The payment amount
- Payment method availability in your region
- Legal, regulatory, or banking requirements
What you can do
You can:
- Check that your institution, payment country or region, amount, and currency are entered correctly.
- Review the other payment methods shown on the payment page.
- Select I want to pay in another currency, if available, to check whether other options are shown.
- Contact your institution or organization if none of the available options work for you.
Note: Flywire cannot manually add a payment method that is not shown for your payment.
