The Flywire Rewards Program allows students in China to earn and redeem reward points when making eligible cross-border tuition payments through Flywire. These rewards can be used as discounts on future payments.
Who Can Participate
This program is available to students who:
- Are making cross-border tuition payments from China
- Use an eligible payment method through Flywire
- Have a registered Flywire account
Eligible Payment Methods
Rewards apply to payments made using:
- Domestic RMB bank transfer
- Alipay / WeChat Pay
- Debit or credit card
Earning vs. Redeeming Rewards
The program includes different thresholds depending on whether you are earning or using rewards:
To Earn Rewards
- Minimum payment: 3,500 CNY (~$500 USD)
- Reward rate: 0.20% of the payment amount
To Redeem Rewards
- Minimum payment: 35,000 CNY (~$5,000 USD)
- Discount applied: Up to 0.20% of the payment amount
Maximum Reward Per Payment
The total rewards that can be earned or redeemed per individual transaction is capped at 1,000 CNY.
Key Program Rules
- Account Requirement: Rewards are linked exclusively to your Flywire account. If you start a payment as a guest, you must manually link it to your registered account before the payment status is marked as “Delivered” to receive your rewards.
- Expiration: Rewards expire 270 days after your last completed (delivered) transaction.
- Non-Transferable: Rewards are strictly linked to your personal account and cannot be shared or transferred to other users.
- Non-Combination of Benefits : Rewards cannot be combined with other promotional offers, including Best Price Guarantee Program or coupons.
How to Check Your Rewards
- Log in to your Flywire account and navigate to the Rewards tab.
- Rewards are posted once the payment is completed and are ready to use immediately.
Note: The Rewards tab becomes available after your first eligible payment is marked as “Delivered.”
How to Use Your Rewards
- When creating a new payment, select the option to apply rewards during the booking process.
- Review your payment summary to confirm the discount is applied before submitting.
If a payment booking expires or is canceled, any applied rewards will be automatically returned to your account balance.
