Payment limits may depend on your institution or organization, issuing bank, card provider, payment method, country or region, and currency.
If a payment limit applies to your payment, Flywire will show this information when you create your payment request.
Maximum payment limits
Flywire may not set a general maximum limit for all payments. However, your institution, bank, card provider, or selected payment method may have its own limit.
Some payment methods may also have a single-payment limit. This means you may only be able to pay up to a certain amount in one payment request when using that payment method.
When selecting a payment method, review the Important info section to check whether any payment limits apply.
If you need to pay more than the available limit, please contact the organization or provider that set the limit.
For example:
- Contact your institution or organization if the limit is set by them.
- Contact your bank or card provider if the limit is set by your payment method.
- Create separate payment requests if your institution allows you to split the payment into multiple transactions.
- Select another available payment method if your preferred method does not support the amount you need to pay.
Minimum payment amount
As a general rule, the minimum payment amount accepted by Flywire is USD 50 or the equivalent in another currency.
This minimum may vary depending on your institution, payment country or region, currency, and payment method.
