In some cases, we may provide intermediary bank details to you when making your payment with Flywire—or your bank may request this information from you.
An intermediary bank is a bank that acts on behalf of the beneficiary bank. You always need to provide the beneficiary bank details as the final beneficiary for your payment, never the intermediary bank details. Otherwise, your payment may not be received. Please carefully follow the bank instructions we provide.
Payments will reach the intermediary bank before being credited to the beneficiary (the beneficiary is the person or entity who will receive the payment), which is the final destination for the transfer. We will then process and deliver your payment to the recipient.
