If the verification of your PAN details displays a message of no record found under the Indian Government Tax portal PAN database, it means that you have submitted your PAN Card application either at NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited) or UTI, but your application data is not found in their system. This happens when:
- the TIN Center or PAN Card Office has not yet processed your application as they have not received the physical copy of your PAN card application
- or the agent to whom you have given your PAN card application has not yet submitted it to NSDL or UTI
You can contact the Income Tax Department of India directly to sort it out.
Alternatively, you can use someone else’s registered PAN (eg, your parents, relatives, etc.) and make sure that your funds are transferred from that person’s account.
