Why is Flywire’s RUC showing as "invalid" during my PEN bank transfer?
When making a local bank transfer, your bank's online system may ask you to input Flywire’s RUC (Registro Único de Contribuyentes).
- The issue: Because Flywire is not a local entity based in Peru, our RUC is registered as a foreign company. Some local banking platforms automatically try to validate this as a local RUC, and will reject it or show an "invalid" error.
- The solution: If your online banking portal blocks the transfer due to the foreign RUC, you have two options to proceed:
- Visit a branch: Go to your local bank branch in person and have a teller complete the transfer on your behalf using the provided instructions.
- Change method: Cancel your current request and select a different payment method from the options we offer.
