Tip: What to do if your payment exceeds your limit
If your transaction fails at the final step due to a bank limit restriction, you can easily split the total amount by creating multiple smaller payment requests on Flywire. Alternatively, you can select "Domestic Bank Transfer in CNY" for high-value payments.
Steps to Complete Your UnionPay Payment from China
Step 1: Create your payment request
Select either "UnionPay Debit Card" or "UnionPay Credit Card" as your payment method. Fill in the required payer information to create your online payment request.
Step 2: Enter your card details
After creating the payment request, the system will direct you to the payment details page. Enter your UnionPay card information. You must also enter the exact mobile phone number that is registered with your card's issuing bank.
Step 3: Verify the payment with an OTP
Click the "Pay" button. Your issuing bank will send a One-Time Password (OTP) via SMS to your registered mobile phone number. Enter this verification code on the screen to authorize the transaction.

Step 4: Confirm your payment status
Once your UnionPay payment is successful, the funds will be deducted from your bank card immediately.
