Steps to complete your bank transfer in MYR
Making a bank transfer in MYR is simple, but it does involve a quick identity verification step through our local partner, Lulu Money (Malaysia). Follow these steps to complete your payment smoothly:
Step 1: Create your request and verify your identity
Select "Bank Transfer in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR)" as your payment method. Before you can access the bank account details to make your transfer, you must upload the following to your tracking page:
- A valid national ID of the payer
- A selfie of the payer holding that ID or passport
Once your documents are successfully uploaded, you can scroll down to download your payment instructions.
Step 2: Send your funds
Follow the instructions provided to send your funds. To ensure your payment is successful, please keep these rules in mind:
- Online or Mobile only: This payment method is strictly for online, electronic, or mobile bank transfers.
- Include your Payment ID: You must include your unique Flywire Payment ID in the transfer's reference or description field so we can match your funds.
- Keep it in MYR: The transfer must be made in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). Sending other currencies may result in extra foreign exchange fees.
Step 3: Upload your proof of payment
After you have transferred the funds, upload your bank receipt (proof of payment) to your tracking page. Our local partner, Lulu Money (Malaysia), will then verify your documents to continue processing your payment.

When will Flywire receive my payment and how can I track it?
Processing Time: Your payment status will typically update within 2–3 business days after you have both completed the bank transfer and Lulu Money has verified your documents.
Notifications: We will email you as soon as we receive your funds, and send a final confirmation once the payment is delivered to your institution.
Important Note: If Lulu Money is unable to verify your payment within 5 business days of receiving the funds, your payment will be returned in full to your originating bank account.
