What account type should I select for a JPY domestic bank transfer?
When making your transfer, please ensure you select the correct account type for Flywire’s bank account:
- Account Type: Checking Account (当座預金 - Touza Yokin)
- Note: Do not select Savings Account (普通預金 - Futsu Yokin).
If the bank transfer is made with incorrect account information, your bank will be unable to process the transfer and will return the funds to your account. In this case, please confirm the return of funds with your bank directly and initiate a new transfer using the correct details before your Flywire payment due date.
What if I cannot include my Payment ID or other reference details?
If you are unable to include your Payment ID or other specific reference details during the transfer, we will use the other relevant information you provided when creating your payment request to identify and match your payment.
