Online Bill Pay is a fast and secure digital banking service that lets you send Canadian dollars (CAD) directly from your local bank account to Flywire.
This payment method is typically processed within 2 to 3 business days, which is often quicker than a standard bank transfer.
Supported Canadian banks
You can use the Online Bill Pay method if you have an account with any of the following Canadian institutions.
- Royal Bank of Canada (RBC)
- Bank of Montreal (BMO)
- Banque Nationale (BNC)
- TD Canada Trust (TD)
- Banque Laurentienne (BLC)
- Tangerine Bank
- ATB Financial
- Central 1 (supporting over 295 credit unions)
How to complete your transfer
After you create your payment request on the Flywire website, follow these steps to send your funds.
- Log in to your personal bank’s website or mobile app and navigate to the bill pay or transfers section.
- Search for Flywire in the payee or biller search bar to add us to your list. If your bank asks for the payee’s province, enter Ontario.
- Enter the payee account number and the exact CAD amount provided in your Flywire payment instructions.
- Review the details and confirm the transaction.
We will track your payment and send you a confirmation email as soon as the funds are received.
What to do if you cannot find a payee account number
If you cannot find a payee account number on your payment instructions, you likely selected a standard bank transfer by mistake.
You will need to cancel your current request and create a new one using the correct method to proceed.
How to resolve a delayed payment
If it has been more than 3 business days and your Flywire tracking page has not updated to Received, please contact our support team.
To help us find your funds quickly, please have your bank’s reference number ready for the transaction.
We will also need a digital copy of your proof of payment. This can be a bank receipt or a clear screenshot from your online banking portal showing both the sender and receiver details.
