How quickly Flywire updates your payment status depends on the payment method. Rest assured, you’ll be notified immediately by email and SMS (if you signed up) once Flywire receives your payment. You can also access your Flywire user account or tracking link to check your payment status any time!
Payment Timelines
- Card Payments: The payment status is immediately updated after a successful transaction

Bank Transfers: It typically takes 2 to 3 business days for the funds to be credited to Flywire's account and for the payment status to be updated
- ACH transfers from the United States can take up to 5 business days to reach Flywire's account
- Online Bank Transfer & Online Payment Methods (e.g. PayPal, Trustly, etc.): You'll immediately be informed whether or not the payment was successful but it may take 1-2 business days for the bank to release the funds
Note: Payments are not processed on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) or bank holidays.
Your institution can view your payment status on their Flywire Dashboard at any time. Once your payment is delivered to your institution, you’ll receive a delivery confirmation email, which includes access to your payment receipt.
