How quickly Flywire receives your payment and updates your payment status depends on the payment method. Rest assured, we'll notify you immediately by email and SMS (if you opted in) once Flywire receives the funds and once the payment has been delivered to your institution.
Keep in mind, you can track your payment any time by accessing your Flywire user account or tracking page.
Receiving Your Payment
- Bank Transfers: Once your bank completes the transfer, it typically takes 2 to 3 business days for the funds to be credited to Flywire's account and for your payment status to be updated
- Online Payment Methods: When you pay online through a Flywire partner (e.g. PayPal, Trustly), you'll receive immediate confirmation if your payment was successful, but it may take 1-2 business days for your bank to release the funds and for your payment status to be updated
- Card Payments: Your payment status will be updated immediately upon successfully entering your card details and confirming your payment
Processing Your Payment
Once Flywire receives your funds, it typically takes 2-3 business days to process the payment.
Note: Payments are not processed on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) or bank holidays.
Delivering Your Payment
Once your payment has been delivered to your institution, you’ll receive a confirmation email that includes access to your payment receipt. Please allow your institution 2-3 business days to update your account balance.
