Is my bank transfer domestic or international?
Check the bank details in your Flywire payment instructions.
If your payment instructions are in your local currency and do not include a SWIFT/BIC code, you may be sending a domestic transfer to one of Flywire’s local bank accounts or local partner bank accounts.
In this case, you can usually send a standard local bank transfer using the details shown in your payment instructions.
Why is there no SWIFT code in my payment instructions?
A SWIFT/BIC code is usually required for international bank transfers.
If your payment instructions do not show a SWIFT/BIC code, it may mean your transfer should be sent as a domestic or local bank transfer instead.
Please use the bank details shown in your Flywire payment instructions. If your bank requires a SWIFT/BIC code but your instructions do not include one, contact your bank first to confirm whether they can process the transfer as a local bank transfer.
Why does the beneficiary address show the United States if I am sending funds to another country?
Your payment instructions may show Flywire’s registered company address or the address connected to the beneficiary account.
This does not necessarily mean your funds are being sent to the United States. Please follow the beneficiary bank details and account information shown in your payment instructions.
What is the difference between beneficiary address and beneficiary bank address?
The beneficiary address refers to the address of the person or entity receiving the funds.
The beneficiary bank address refers to the address of the bank that holds the beneficiary account.
Your bank may ask for one or both of these addresses when you create the transfer.
Why does my bank show a different beneficiary bank address?
Some banks have multiple registered addresses, branches, or processing locations.
If your bank shows a different beneficiary bank address from the one in your Flywire payment instructions, check that the account number, bank name, routing code, SWIFT/BIC code, or other bank identification details match your Flywire payment instructions.
If you are not sure whether the details are correct, contact Flywire support before sending the transfer.
How does Flywire identify my bank transfer?
When you create a payment request, Flywire generates a unique Payment ID.
Include this Payment ID in your bank transfer reference, remittance information, concept, notes, or message field whenever possible. This helps Flywire identify your funds and match them to your payment request.
Flywire may also use other transfer details, such as the sender name, payer information, transfer amount, and bank receipt details, to help review and match your payment.
If you are not sure whether the details are correct, contact Flywire support before sending the transfer.
What if I cannot include my Payment ID as remittance information?
Include your Flywire Payment ID in the transfer reference, remittance information, concept, notes, or message field whenever possible.
If your bank does not allow you to enter the full Payment ID, enter as much of the Payment ID as possible.
Your Payment ID helps Flywire identify your funds and match them to your payment request. If you cannot include it, Flywire may still use other available details, such as payer information and transfer details, to review and match your payment.
