If your bank enters incorrect information in the transfer, your bank will need to amend the original payment instructions.
Depending on your bank’s system, this may be called a SWIFT amendment (MT103) or a PACS008 correction (ISO 20022).
Next Steps
1. Contact your bank
Ask your bank to correct the details of the international transfer (for example, beneficiary name, account number, or reference information).
2. Request the amendment or correction document
Once the update is processed, your bank can provide a copy of the amended SWIFT MT103 or PACS008 message as proof that the changes were made.
3. Send it to Flywire
Upload and forward the document to Flywire so that we can verify and apply the correction to your payment.
Important: Incorrect transfer details can delay payment processing and, in some cases, may prevent us from receiving the funds. To avoid issues, please double-check all payment details before completing your transfer.
