To finalize your payment in Nepalese Rupees (NPR), you will need to complete a quick in-person document check (KYC) at any NMB Bank branch.
Important timeframe: Please ensure you visit the branch within 5 business days of transferring your funds. If the bank isn't able to verify your documents within this time, they will need to return your payment to your original account to keep your funds safe.
Required documents for your NMB Bank visit
To make your branch visit for KYC verification as smooth as possible, please print and bring the following items:
- Flywire Documents: Your valid Authorization Letter and Payment Instructions.
- School Documents: Your Admission Letter and/or Tuition Invoice.
- ID: A copy of the student’s valid passport.
-
No Objection Certificate (NOC): Both the Bank Copy and the Customer Copy.
- Tip: If this is your second payment and the first one wasn't sent via NMB, a "no objection letter" from your previous bank is also accepted.
- PAN Card: A copy of the student or family member’s PAN card (This is only needed if your payment is over $5,000 USD).
- Additional documents if you are already studying abroad: If the student is currently overseas, please also bring a copy of their valid University ID and Visa to the bank.
What is a No Objection Certificate (NOC)
A No Objection Certificate (NOC) is a required government document for Nepalese students studying abroad. If you don't have one yet, you can apply for it physically or online through the Nepalese government's website.
