If you are experiencing issues while completing your domestic bank transfer in NPR, please review the common scenarios and solutions below.
What should I do if my bank says they cannot send NPR?
If you selected the “Domestic bank transfer in NPR” method, you must send your funds in Nepalese Rupees using the exact payment instructions provided.
If your personal bank is refusing to process the NPR transfer, please reach out for immediate support so we can help you complete your payment:
- For banking assistance: Contact the NMB Bank Call Center at 01-5970150 or email call@nmb.com.np.
- For Flywire assistance: Contact our support team via our web form.
What are the NPR transaction limits for different transfer methods?
Depending on how you choose to send your funds to the NMB Bank account, different local transaction limits will apply. Please check the limits below before initiating your transfer:
- RTGS: No transaction limit.
- Connect IPS: Maximum limit of NPR 10,00,000 per transaction (and a maximum of NPR 20,00,000 per day).
- Clearing Cheques: Maximum limit of NPR 30,00,00,000 per cheque.
What if I submitted my NOC to a bank other than NMB Bank?
Because Flywire partners locally with NMB Bank for these payments, your NOC (No Objection Certificate) must be verified by an NMB Bank branch.
If you accidentally submitted your NOC documents to your own personal bank instead of NMB Bank, you will need to:
- Withdraw: Contact your personal bank immediately to withdraw and retrieve your NOC document.
- Re-submit: Bring the retrieved NOC document directly to an NMB Bank branch to complete your mandatory verification.
