Flywire has partnered with NMB Bank to process your NPR payment. Due to strict local regulations, please review the mandatory requirements below before initiating your transfer.
Important rules for NPR transfers
- Mandatory Branch Visit: Even if you transfer funds online, you must visit an NMB Bank branch within 5 business days of your transfer to verify the payment. Unverified funds will be returned to your account.
- Education Tax: A 3% government education tax applies. This cannot be paid digitally (via IPS/RTGS) and must be paid in person at the branch. No other extra charges will apply.
Steps for your NPR domestic bank transfer
- Initiate & Download: Select “Domestic bank transfer in NPR” as your payment method. Once your payment request is created, download your Authorization letter and Payment Instructions from the tracking page.

Transfer funds: Send the exact NPR amount to the provided NMB account using:
- IPS / Connect IPS
- RTGS
- Account Transfer (for NMB account holders)
- Cash deposit at a branch
- Verify in person: Visit an NMB Bank branch (find locations here) within 5 days to pay the education tax and verify your payment.
