NetBanking is an online, real-time payment method available for resident Indian savings account holders (including Axis Bank, Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Union Bank of India, and Yes Bank, among others).
Please note: Payments from NRE/NRO/NRI accounts are not supported for this method.
Important requirements and limits for INR NetBanking
To ensure your payment is not blocked or rejected by our local partners, please review these strict system limits before you begin:
- Transaction limits: This method only supports payment amounts between the equivalent of USD 100.00 and USD 7,000.00. Additionally, you are strictly limited to one transaction per day.
- Authorized relationships: The payer must be the student or an immediate family member (parent, sibling, spouse, or parent-in-law). Payments from grandparents, friends, cousins, or aunts are not accepted.
- Joint accounts: If you are paying from a joint bank account, our system can only validate the PAN of the primary account holder.
- Education loans: Even if your designated source of funds is an education loan, the actual NetBanking transfer must be made from your personal savings account. Direct transfers from loan accounts are not accepted through this method.
Required documents for INR NetBanking
You must upload specific supporting documents directly to the Flywire website via your tracking link. Please prepare clear photos or PDFs of the following items:
- Student passport: Provide the front and back pages of the student's passport.
- Payer's address proof: Upload the front and back of the payer's driver's license, passport, or voter's ID.
- Official invoice: Include the offer letter or payment invoice provided by your educational institution.
- Proof of relationship: If the payer is not the student, you must provide a document proving the relationship (e.g., passports, birth certificates, or marriage certificates).
- Loan sanction letter: Only required if your specified source of funds is an education loan.
Note: If your document verification fails, you will be notified via email to re-upload them. You must upload the corrected documents within 3 business days, or your payment will be automatically rejected and refunded.
Real-time system checks for INR payments
When you fill out the Payer Information on Flywire, our system will perform instant background validations. You will receive an error message under the following conditions:
- Duplicate payments: The system will block a new request if the same PAN holder already has another pending payment in progress.
- Invalid PAN: An error message will appear if the PAN information does not match official government records.
- Invalid bank account: You will be alerted if the bank account information entered is incorrect or unsupported.
