If you are paying from a European country that is part of the Single Euro Payment Area (SEPA) and select “Bank transfer in EUR” as your payment method, you will receive Flywire’s EUR account details to complete your transfer. If you are making your payment from one of the SEPA countries to Flywire’s EUR account, you can instruct your bank to make a SEPA transfer.
Even though our account may be located in a different country than where your funds are coming from, the SEPA transfer should not cost more than a domestic/local transfer. You will, however, need to select “international transfer” from your online banking platform if you are paying from a different country other than where Flywire’s EUR account is located.
When initiating your transfer, your bank might require you to select the "Details of charges." Please select “SHA” for this field. This is the only possible option to select for SEPA transfers, and it may need to be selected even if your bank doesn’t charge you any fee for transferring the funds. As there is likely no fee or at most a very small fee, selecting SHA for the details of charges for a SEPA transfer won’t result in a short payment to your institution as long as you send the exact amount and currency as stated in your payment request.
